PACE Group was born and bred through the talent and vision of founder Kirtilal Manilal Mehta.
The First Indian Diamantaire
Born in 1907, he founded his first company in 1944, from which many branches and companies followed worldwide.
He was the first Indian diamantaire to establish a diamond trading house in Antwerp in 1953 and one of the first Indian diamond trading companiesto be accredited as a Sight holder by the DTC.
The Officer of the Order of Leopold
During a lifetime of achievements, Mr. Mehta received numerous awards from across the globe including The Officer of the Order of Leopold.
His son, Mr. Prabodh Mehta joined the business at the early age of 17 and started Gembel N.V. in 1953.
Order of the Crown
Mr. Prabodh Mehta received many achievements including the Officer of the Order of Leopolde, as well as Order of the crown.

Founded in Mumbai, India by Mr.Kirtilal Manilal Mehta.
1953
Started Gembel N.V. in Antwerp as the first Indian Diamond trader in Belgium.
1956
Established office in Hong Kong- Aryan International.
1968
Established Gembel in Tel Aviv the first Indian Diamond trader in Israel.
1973
Honoured with the President's Award: Israel’s outstanding trade promoter.
1991
Mr.Kirtilal received Officer of the Order of Leopold from the king of Belgium.
1993
Established Lilavati hospital in Mumbai with 320 beds and state of the art medical facilities.
1997
Company restructured under Gembel European Sales N.V. and Kay Diamonds N.V, in Belgium under the ownership of Mr.Prabodh Mehta and Mr.Rashmi Mehta.
2000
Established Adesh International Ltd. in India and new polishing factory in Mumbai.
2000
Established DIA Jewellery Boutique in partnership with Mohit Group.
2004
Mr.Prabodh Mehta received Officer of the Kroonorde from the King of Belgium.
2009
Chetan Mehta created a Jewellery Division with factories in Thailand and Italy.
2010
Prabodh Mehta and Chetan Mehta rebrand into Pace group.
2011
Prabodh Mehta opens Pace Dubai office as Pace gems Dmcc.
